The People’s Progressive Party (APC) vice presidential candidate Professor Yemi Osinbajo has promised Nigerians in the UK that his government will enhance the presentation of the diaspora voters’ bill of elected that enables them to vote in future elections. The Vice president , who paid a -visit to the UK on Saturday during a brief stopover on his way to the US, used the opportunity to meet with the APC in London.

He assured the party faithful, that he and the President of Nigeria would do all they can to get the bill re-introduced and put the necessary machinery in place to allow Nigerians outside the country to vote. in corresponding Interview with the press, Professor Osinbajo said his party is hopeful that the diaspora will play a dominant role once an APC government is elected.

Professor Osinbajo said: “We do not have a specific diaspora programme for training but there is a lot to be done, so if we are able to structure our system it will assist those diasporans willing to help. Our problem is not a dearth of skills but corruption and inconsistency in government policy, so if we can tackle problems like this and others like teacher education, it will help.

“Also, the party will favour a situation where every Nigerian everywhere is able to vote as this will be useful but this is a matter for the National Assembly.
